Abstract
The additive manufacturing (AM) process on one hand is quite advanced and potentially prospective technique of flexible and research oriented way of manufacturing but on the other hand needs certain aspects to be focused for reliable manufacturing on large industrial scales. Under the scope of this project, the resulting strains and residual stresses of the AM part are brought into light on macro level with continuum approach. The thermo-elastoplastic modeling is being under consideration for the successful analysis of solidified material behavior after the selective laser melting of powder. Moreover the adaptive Finite Element Analysis (FEM) is also part of the work objective.
